The Chamber is constantly working to find new ways to promote Deshler and the surrounding area. Some of the events the Chamber of Commerce sponsors each year are:
TCEDA’s emphasis is county and community development. They do so by providing support for local businesses through their retention and start-up program. They also provide support with securing housing and employee recruitment through an existing Home Ownership Program (HOP). TCEDA has funds available to help with down payment assistance so that buyers can purchase homes within Thayer County. TCEDA is a go-to resource for information and support, focused on economic development strategies that encompass the six pillars of community development.
The Deshler Community Fund is dedicated to progress and long-term prosperity. A volunteer Fund Advisory Committee works actively to increase charitable giving and award grants to local worthy causes and projects that are addressing emerging needs and future opportunities in our community.
